The year is 1765: Men angered by taxation without having representation formed a group within the British colonies of the New World called the Sons of Liberty. These men met in secret spaces to discuss sedition, and separation from their sovereign government of England, and King George the Third. They formed strategies to create civil unrest within the Colonies, and to enlist others to their cause. All of the even though the officers of the British government raided houses, inns, and other public places in an effort to quell such seditious behavior as well as enforce the will of the King on the colonists of the Americas. These men realized that their cause would not have been necessary had certain freedoms been allowed them.
